Tan Philus Bai Rong, a Singaporean sport climbing athlete said he was proud to be able to add medals to his country's contingent through the sport climbing competition. “Although my focus was not on the sport climbing competition, I still tried hard in the final to get a medal,” he said.
He added that it was an honor for him to participate for his country in AUG XXI 2024. "Because in the previous AUG, I became second winner in a bouldering competition. So, I am motivated to come back again, and try again to achieve the first position now," he added.
After successfully bringing home a medal, he felt relieved and wanted to explore tourism in Indonesia. "After the medal, I want to climb Mount Bromo and Mount Ijen. The nature there is very beautiful. I think the food is also very good, especially the chicken," he said with a laugh.[]
