Chancellor of the Islamic
University of Malang (Unisma), Prof. Drs. Junaidi, M.Pd., Ph.D., expressed his
appreciation to all participants who had shown their best performance in the
2024 ASEAN University Games (AUG) competition. According to him, there must be
a winner in every competition, but all participants have competed well and deserve
appreciation.
"Everyone can show their best performance, that in a competition there must be a winner, it is very natural that someone must win. However, everyone has competed well and deserves appreciation," he said.
On this occasion, Prof.
Junaidi also commented on the satisfaction of the ASEAN and Indonesian committees
with the implementation of AUG 2024. "I have asked the committee, both
from ASEAN and from Indonesia, and they are very satisfied with the
implementation this time, both in terms of facilities and services. This is the
result of our efforts to be able to serve well and be the best host," he
added.
Prof. Junaidi hopes that,
through holding this AUG, there will be an increase in sporting achievements in
Indonesia, especially in the karate branch which still needs to be improved.
"Especially regarding the continuity of the coaching, hopefully, the
students who have won this championship will receive adequate coaching after
completion," he concluded.
With successful
implementation, Unisma shows its commitment to supporting the development of
sports and student achievements on the international stage.
After presenting gold to Indonesia, one of the winners of the Garuda team, Ceyco Georgia Zefanya Hutagalung, along with her team consisting of Hera Irnandha, Mulia Jischa Cherryl Shikiza, Nurmala Erlyawati, and Tri Fachryanti Ramadhana Indra, managed to win the Kumite team-Women category.

competing in various ASEAN countries, admitted that he did not experience any
specific difficulties in this match.

have, I have fought and read the opponent's tactics," he explained.
