MALANG—The 21st ASEAN University Games (AUG) 2024, a university student

"With the cooperation of all parties who are very united, working hand in hand, including Bapomi and nine universities in Surabaya and Malang who have gone all out, so that around 728 matches can run smoothly," she said in a press conference, before the closing ceremony at the Rectorate of the State University of Malang (UM) on Saturday, July 6, 2024, evening.

AUG more colorful and of course more competitive.
"As organizers, we have achieved all the success of this event,
the results are recognized by AUSC, and the impact on society is very visible.
As hosts, our contingent (Indonesia) can become the overall champion for the

ASEAN student sports event which is held every two years in its history, is the
first time it has been held in two places at once, namely in Surabaya and
Malang.
Apart from that, this is the first time AUG has involved nine universities as venues for each sport. "Two countries (cities) and nine venues (venues) are the new benchmarks for the AUG event. This is a good achievement. After this, wherever other countries host, Indonesia will definitely be the benchmark," he said.

Cak Hasan expressed his thanks and appreciation to all parties who contributed
to the success of preparation, opening, to closing running smoothly and
successfully.
The sports science professor and Chancellor of UNESA ensured that AUG
ran smoothly and successfully. This means that nothing untoward happens during
the competition. Even though the competition for medals was fierce on the
field, all parties showed and upheld sportsmanship and camaraderie as ASEAN
member countries.
"AUG is not only about winning medals, but also about mutual
respect shown on and off the field. Everyone competes well and respects each
other. This is what we hope for, where a sportsman's mentality colors the game
on the field," said Cak Hassan.

Hariyanto, M.Pd., also expressed his appreciation for holding the 21st ASEAN
