Wushu Sports Medals Brought By Six Countries

SURABAYA-Wushu is one of the sports that competes in many numbers in AUG XXI 2024. The Sports competition took place at the Sport Center of the University of Surabaya (Ubaya) consisting of 24 numbers followed by teams from ASEAN countries starting June 27, 2024.
The decided match was on June 30, 2024, the Indonesian contingent successfully won 7 medals; 2 gold, 4 silver, and 1 bronze. The details of the athletes who received each medal include, Ahmad Ghozali Fuaiz who finished first in the men- nan gun category with a score of 9,490.
The next gold medal went to Adinugroho Nicholaus Karanka, who was ranked first in the team - dui lian for men category with a score of 9.486.
Then for the silver medal, each won by Ahmad Ghifari Fuaiz who ended up in second place for the category of team-dui lian for men with a score of 9.470. Then there is Narta Robert Sie who is in second place in the men - nan gun category with a score of 9,466.

Another silver medal was won by Simon Andrea with a score of 9.460 who finished second in the category women - qiang shu. Then there is Widodo Eugenia Diva who sits second in the team - dui lian for women category with a score of 9.460.
Meanwhile, the bronze medal was won by Geraldine Patricia who was ranked third in the category women - qiang shu with a score of 9.370.
“We are quite proud because the medals we achieved are in line with expectations and targets from training so far. In the future we will target the same gold in the next PON,” said Ahmad Ghozali, one of the Indonesian team.
The final Momentum in the AUG Wushu sport was also attended by the Head of National Achievement Center (Puspresnas) of the Ministry of Education and Culture Dr. Maria Veronica Irene Herdijono, S.E., M.Si.

She said that the athletes who compete in every sport at the ASEAN University Games have tried hard to achieve their best.
The final result obtained is something to be grateful for and used as motivation for the next competition. "I hope the athletes who achieved brilliant achievements in the AUG event are supported to continue and will compete in the upcoming PON,” She said.
From the results of the wushu competition which was held for four days, Indonesia became the grand champion by winning 19 gold medals, 10 silver, and 5 bronze. In second position followed by Singapore with a collection of 2 Gold, 6 silver and 6 bronze.
Next, the Philippines 1 Gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze. The next position is Thailand, with 1 gold, and 2 bronze. Then Brunei Darussalam collected 1 Gold. And, Myanmar secured 7 silver.
