are competing in seven events.
On the

medal tally. According to the schedule, the badminton league began on
Wednesday, June 26, and the deciding matches will take place on Tuesday, July

On the second day of the badminton competition, Gema Fitriady, the Person in Charge (PIC) for the badminton event, expressed his hopes for the ongoing matches.

In an
interview with the UM Public Relations Team, Gema expressed his pride in the
achievements demonstrated by the athletes on this second day. "We are very
proud of the athletes' performances. They have shown high dedication and
fighting spirit. This is proof that the preparations made so far have not been
in vain," he said.
Gema also emphasized the importance of sportsmanship and fair play in every match.

"Our
hope is that all matches can be conducted with fair play and sportsmanship.
Fair play should be the main foundation in every competition so that we can see
who truly is the best based on their ability and hard work," said the
lecturer from the Faculty of Sports Science (FIK) at UM.
He also expressed high appreciation for the facilities and event organization by UM and all involved committees. "Universitas Negeri Malang has provided excellent facilities, from the competition arena and accommodation to other supporting facilities. The coordination among the committees has also been very good, always ensuring the smooth execution of every match," he explained.

Regarding
the performance of the Indonesian Badminton team, Gema is optimistic that they
can achieve the best results. "Our athletes have shown impressive
performances so far. We hope they can maintain consistency and focus until the
end of the competition. Additionally, the support from the audience greatly helps
in boosting the athletes' spirits," he said.
Finally,
he expressed his hopes for the second day of the AUG 2024. "I hope today's
activities run smoothly and are better than the previous day, and I also hope
