Premier Futsal Matchday: Thailand Wins, Indonesia Leads Myanmar

SURABAYA-The
Thai team won a landslide victory over Brunei Darussalam in the first match of
Group B of futsal, at GOR UNESA Campus 2 Lidah Wetan, Surabaya, Wednesday
(26/06/2024).
In
the early rounds, Thailand appeared aggressive by continuing to attack Brunei
Darussalam's defense. Thailand launched a barrage of attacks so that Brunei was
trapped in its own playing area.
In
the middle of the half, the Brunei goalkeeper had to be replaced due to an
injury from holding a kick from a Thai player. The first half ended with a
score of 6-0.
Brunei's
game progressed in the second half they began to attack the Thai defense.
Unluckily Thailand's defense was so solid that Brunei struggled to create
golden opportunities.
Taking
advantage of Brunei's looser defense as it implemented an attacking strategy,
the Thai players managed to add to the advantage. The final score at this match
was 9-0, Thailand won over Brunei.
In
another match that brought the hosts, Indonesia, hosted Myanmar, the visiting
team could not stem the attacks carried out by Indonesia. At the end of the
match, Indonesia managed to beat Myanmar with a score of 6-1.
The
Head Coach of Indonesia, Deni Setiabudi, stated that he would make efforts to
maximize the game in the second half. "Alhamdulillah we can get 3 points
as a provision in the next game,” he said.
Deni
admitted that he was ready for the next match against Malaysia which took place
on June 27, 2024. "Our strategy is still the same as when facing
Myanmar," he said.[]
